Interesting, I also saw an article on there about how Famke Janssen confirmed that X3 is her next project and she didn't jump ship for Superman.
I'm not sure about the director they picked. He's only directed one other movie, and produced the rest.

Well I am glad that she is staying since accoriding to aint it cool news, they are going with the Dark Pheonix story...
"I'm incredibly happy overall with the way this is coming together. Matthew's a smart filmmaker, and his work on LAYER CAKE is dynamite. Zak Penn gets the X-Men and loves the characters, and he's been pretty instrumental in the franchise as a whole, so I think we're in good hands as the Dark Phoenix saga gets underway."
